About:

Monologue Challenge is the biggest online acting competition organised by FirstCut. It is a platform for aspiring actors to showcase their acting skills by recording their Monologue and uploading it on our app from the comfort of their home.

The past two seasons of the challenge were successful and were widely accepted by more than 500 aspiring actors from all over the country, each edition.

The winner of the Monologue Challenge 1.0 was awarded with prizes worth 15,000/- and Monologue Challenge 2.0 with prizes worth 30,000/-

Season 3 of the Challenge has become Bigger this time bifurcating the age groups into two categories.

FIRST ROUND (ONLINE):

• The Round 1 will go on for 4 weeks, starting 15^th May-11^th June, 2021.
• Users need to upload their monologue videos in the Monologue Section of the FirstCut App (after the challenge starts), once they have registered.
• Every Saturday, shortlisted videos will be posted on our Social Media.
• Shortlisted Participants will get 2 days to gather maximum organic engagement on their videos on Instagram and Facebook combined.
• Based on the judgement criteria (refer to T&C below), 2 Weekly Winners, one from each age group, will be chosen every Monday.
• By the End of 4^th Week, Challenge will be left with 8 semi-finalists.
• Semi-finalists (weekly winners) will be awarded with prizes worth 6,000/- each.
• Semi Finalists need to visit Delhi/NCR for the Second Round (Semi-Finale), dates of which will be announced later.

SECOND ROUND (OFFLINE):

• 2^nd Round will be conducted offline in Delhi/NCR wherein the accommodations, transportation and food will be borne by Team FirstCut. (Except for the Residents of Delhi/NCR).
• 1 Adult is allowed with Minors (children below 18 years of Age).
• Jury Members:
  1. Kunal M Shah, ​​casting director​ ​of Khiladi 786, Action Jackson, Youngistaan, Ek Paheli Leela, Mr. X, Aksar 2, Hate Story 3, Fugly, 1921, Creature and Laal Rang etc.
  2. Manish Goel, ​a TV Actor from Kahani Ghar Ghar ki, CID, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Tantra, Nimki Vidhayak, Hanak (Biopic of Gangster Vikas Dubey), etc.
• Semi-finalists will be provided with a Genre a week in advance for the second round, which they need to perform live in front of the Judges.
• Based on the live performance, 6 finalists will be shortlisted.

FINALE ROUND (OFFLINE):

• Will take place immediately after the second round, on the same day.
• Finalists will perform a fresh monologue of their own choice.
• There will be 1 winner (from each age group).
• Winners will be felicitated with prizes:
  

  Juniors- worth 50.000/-
  Adults- worth 85.000/-

Terms & Conditions

1. All the participants must be registered on FirstCut App and for the Monologue Challenge separately
2. (Registration on the App is Free. Registration Fee for Participation is INR 500/-)
3. Videos must be uploaded in the Monologue Section of the app.
4. Sharing via social media, emails or any other mediums will not be entertained.
5. The participant's video length must be between 2-4 minutes.
6. Only fresh videos uploaded on the app would be considered for the competition, pre uploaded videos would not be entertained..
7. Videos from Tiktok, Dubsmash, or any video-sharing platforms will not be entertained.
8. The use of any electronic music or pre-recorded audio will NOT be considered.
9. A participant only needs to apply once for the competition and can upload only 1 video per week..
10. Submissions should not hurt any political, religious, caste, or regional sentiments and should not be bigoted, violative, or discriminatory against any community.
11. Considering the current situation, Isolation and Social distancing must be followed, the videos must be shot indoors or around your home, with the characters, props, and pets available.
12. The primary language of the video must be Hindi. English can be used as the secondary language. No regional language would be entertained.
13. Content should not violate anyone else's Intellectual Property or Copyright in audio or visual.
14. Any nudity, vulgarity, or use of any inappropriate visuals and audio is NOT allowed.
15. Winners will be asked to send a testimonial video which will be published on our social media.
16. Any updates or announcements will be notified through our official channels only.
17. All the monologues will be screened and judged by our internal judges during the first round.
18. 20 shortlisted monologues (5 from kids category, 5 from Juniors category and 10 from adult category) will be uploaded each week on our Social Media out of which Weekly Winners will be selected.
19. There can only be One Weekly Winner from each age group (Monologue of the Week) which is 50% based on audience scores (maximum number of likes, comments and views on both Instagram and Facebook combined) and 50% based on Judge’s Scores.
20. Inorganic engagement (fake likes, views, comments) by any participant will lead to deduction from scores.
21. Weekly Winners will be announced every Monday.
22. Weekly Winners will be awarded with Prizes worth Rs. 6,000/-, and a Certificate..
23. The Finale Winners will be awarded with Cash Prizes, Vouchers/ Hampers, Trophy, Certificate and a role in Entertainment Industry..
